Summer is approaching, and Vejer de la Frontera, recognized as one of Spain's most beautiful villages, is preparing to welcome it with its traditional Night of Candles. This magical evening, now in its eleventh edition, will illuminate the historic center of the Cadiz town.
Over 18,000 candles will adorn emblematic spots such as the Plaza de España, the Muralla de la Segur, and the Judería neighborhood, among other streets and viewpoints. Artificial lights will be turned off to create a unique pathway, enhancing the heritage and charm of this village certified as one of Spain's Most Beautiful.
The celebration will not solely focus on the illumination. Music will also take center stage with a special candlelit concert, offering a complete sensory experience that combines history, art, and atmosphere.
Thousands of visitors are expected, so the route will be signposted and will include event staff and Civil Protection members to ensure an orderly flow. Attendees are advised to travel to Vejer in advance to fully enjoy the event.
