From this Friday, June 26, to July 5, Cádiz's historic center will be the stage for the II Cadi Cadi Pride Tapas Route. This initiative, organized by Cádiz Centro Comercial Abierto and the Cádiz City Council, aims to promote LGTBI+ diversity and rights through culinary creativity.
A total of 17 establishments, including bars and restaurants in Cádiz, will offer exclusive tapas, designed with personality and originality for the occasion. Attendees can enjoy a wide range of flavors while supporting the cause.
Cádiz's gastronomy will also champion rights, opportunities, and diversity in the II Cadi Cadi Pride Tapas Route.
The route not only offers a gastronomic experience but also includes incentives for participants. By scanning the QR code at participating venues, attendees will enter a draw for 150 euros in vouchers from Cádiz Centro Comercial Abierto. Additionally, purchases over 10 euros at associated Cádiz Centro businesses will earn 5-euro vouchers redeemable at the route's participating bars and restaurants.
Among the culinary offerings are creations such as 'Carne y Pescao' (Iberian pork jowl toast with Cantabrian anchovy) from Casa Palacios, 'Ensaladilla Drag' from Mariquita Mala, or 'Barreja de Orgullo' from Teniente Seblón, which combines cured fish, cockles, and mussels.
Other creative tapas include 'Merluza a la Chavela Vargas' (hake in pil-pil sauce) from La Catedral Freidor-Cafetería, 'Sin Etiquetas' (Ronda black pudding on pepper cream) from Ajolá, or the 'Indómita' (24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano croquette with black truffle) from Gutini Mercado.
