The incident occurred shortly after three in the morning on Thursday, when the driver's vehicle, with her as the sole occupant, overturned sideways on the highway. The Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Cádiz received an alert reporting a trapped person.
Firefighters from the Arcos station were dispatched to the scene and located the overturned car. The driver was trapped inside with an immobilized leg, unable to exit on her own.
The firefighters first stabilized the vehicle and then carried out rescue operations to free the victim. After being extricated, she was attended by medical services and evacuated by ambulance to a hospital.
Once the rescue was completed, firefighters also worked to remove the damaged vehicle with the help of a heavy tow truck to clear the road. Five firefighters with three vehicles participated in the operation, and the Civil Guard assisted with traffic control.
In a separate incident, firefighters from Jimena de la Frontera responded to a truck fire parked in a lot on Camino del Convento, in the Los Ángeles neighborhood. The vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire, with no personal injuries reported.
