Representatives from the PSOE of Cádiz conducted a visit to the rural area of Jerez, including the La Ina road, to assess the state of infrastructure. During their visit, they denounced the “investment paralysis” that, they claim, affects the safety and mobility of Cádiz citizens.
“"We are facing another massive deception by the PP. They came here to take photos, some even dressed up during the storm, promising with slogans and many announcements that money would arrive immediately. Three months after that misfortune, the reality is that they have done absolutely nothing."
The party highlighted that over 15 roads managed by the Junta de Andalucía and the Provincial Council remain closed or without necessary improvements. They criticized the “shoddy” provisional solution implemented on the La Ina road and condemned the “complicit silence” of the mayor of Jerez and the president of the Provincial Council, both from the same political party.
According to the PSOE, localities such as La Ina, Rajamancera, El Torno, San Isidro, and Torrecera feel abandoned by an administration that, in their view, was only present for “flood photos” but not for subsequent management. They pointed out that an emergency contract has already been awarded but is not being executed, which, for them, demonstrates that the Popular Party's priority is not the citizens of Jerez.
The PSOE announced that it will bring this situation of “abandonment and sectarianism” to the full session of the Cádiz Provincial Council, reaffirming its commitment to rural areas and demanding that residents be heard and works begin immediately.
