The leadership of Por Andalucía in Cádiz has expressed confidence in achieving a favorable outcome in the regional elections on May 17. Despite adjustments to the electoral list, which saw a provincial coordinator from Izquierda Unida move from the first to the second position to accommodate a representative from Sumar, the party maintains its goal of at least revalidating the results obtained in previous elections.
“"I still believe that Cádiz and Andalucía are progressive."
The party emphasizes the importance of involvement in public management, distinguishing itself from other left-wing forces. It highlights its willingness to “roll up its sleeves to govern” and prioritize its electoral program, seeking utility in political action and defending citizens' interests.
Among Por Andalucía's priorities for the province of Cádiz, the party stresses halting the diversion of public funds to private companies in the healthcare sector. The formation advocates for increasing healthcare and non-healthcare staff and reopening public hospital wards that are currently non-operational. Furthermore, it proposes reversing existing healthcare agreements in the province.
Another key point on its agenda is the housing problem, especially in cities where tourist accommodations are displacing residents. The party criticizes the commodification of housing and defends its consideration as a constitutional right, urging the Junta de Andalucía to take action.
“"The path of Juanma Moreno is the same as Ayuso's in Madrid, that of the privatization of public services."
The party has also criticized the current regional government's management, comparing its policies to those implemented in Madrid, particularly regarding the privatization of public services. It questions the current government's pursuit of stability, noting that its policies already align with those of other right-wing formations.
