The city of Jerez will close June with a hotel occupancy rate of 70.6%, a three-point increase compared to the previous year. Forecasts for the 2026 summer, released by Horeca, place occupancy in the city above 64% in the first half of July and at 72.22% for August.
Although initial forecasts for July are slightly lower than last year's (67% and 71% in 2025), figures for August are projected to be higher (76% in 2025). However, actual occupancy can vary, as seen last year when Jerez finished the first half of July at 78% and August at 90%.
At the provincial level, hotel occupancy in Cádiz is expected to exceed 79% in July and 79% in August. Municipalities such as Chiclana de la Frontera (88%) and Conil de la Frontera (86%) are projected to be the most sought-after destinations in the first half of July, followed by Zahara de los Atunes (82%) and Cádiz capital (81%).
For the second half of July, Rota anticipates 92% occupancy, while Chiclana and Conil will remain high. In August, Zahara de los Atunes leads the forecasts with 91%, followed by Chipiona with 90%.
Alfredo Carrasco, president of the Association Hostelería de Jerez, anticipates a "quite good" summer, highlighting the city's consolidation as a tourist destination during this period and the improvement in leisure offerings. Nevertheless, he expresses concern about excessive heat, which could deter visitors from the coast.
