Choosing a university degree has become the main question for thousands of students in Cádiz after passing the PAU entrance exam. The pre-registration period for public Andalusian universities is now open, and in the first 24 hours, 16,676 applications were registered across the region.
In the province of Cádiz, 5,303 students have passed the PAU and can begin their admission process. Preliminary data from the Regional Ministry of University reveals a clear preference for Health Science fields. At the Andalusian level, Nursing has garnered 11,656 applications and Medicine 8,044, followed by Psychology, Primary Education, Law, and Physiotherapy.
This trend is also reflected at the University of Cádiz (UCA). Initial registrations show high demand for Nursing (2,802 applications), Medicine (1,007), Psychology (488), Law (465), and Physiotherapy (459). These figures confirm the sustained interest in health studies, which traditionally have the highest cut-off grades at the UCA.
The deadline to submit the single application, where students must rank all desired degrees by preference, remains open until June 22. The first round of place allocations will be published on July 3, marking a decisive moment for the academic and professional futures of young people in Cádiz.
