According to the latest data from the INE's Continuous Population Survey, closed on April 1st, more than half of the foreigners who have settled in the province of Cadiz during the last four quarters come from Morocco. The arrival of Moroccan citizens has been constant, totaling 2,450 people, out of a total of 4,500 new foreign residents.
After Morocco, the number of citizens from Colombia stands out, having surpassed 1,500 in the same period. The report also indicates that return movements occur, with 650 Moroccans having returned to their homeland during this same fiscal year.
The demographic study also reveals a trend in the province's population pyramid, with a narrowing base of young people and a widening upper part, corresponding to older citizens. As of April 1st, there were 42,918 children between 0 and 4 years old residing in the province, which is one thousand fewer than the previous year. The largest age group is between 50 and 54 years old, with over 105,000 residents.
