The management of the immersive experience detailing the history of the Puerta de Tierra and its glacis, a key attraction of the Tower since its reopening in December 2024, will remain with Tripmilenaria. This local company is responsible for the reception, organization, assistance, and guidance of visitors to this municipal site.
The Cadiz firm, which also provides similar services at the Gadir Archaeological Site and the Testaccio of the University of Cádiz, has secured the annual contract for the second consecutive time. The tender, launched in mid-April, received only one proposal from the aforementioned company.
Tripmilenaria's staff will be in charge of projecting an audiovisual presentation lasting approximately ten minutes. This content offers a journey through the city's history and its defensive system, highlighting the significance of the Frente de Tierra and its connection to the glacis, up to its final service during the Explosion of '47.
The immersive experience, which accommodates between 11 and 15 people per session, takes place in the upper floor room of the Tower. For individuals with reduced mobility, an alternative is available on the ground floor, in a room to the left of the entrance, where they can enjoy the same content. The video is projected in complete darkness, enveloping the viewer within the screens.
