The event, organized by GURMÉ Cádiz and La Voz de Cádiz, brought together prominent figures from the hospitality sector, institutional representatives, and sponsors, underscoring the thriving state of the province's hospitality industry.
The ceremony, hosted by journalist Isabel Aguilar, was attended by authorities including Antonio Jesús Aragón, provincial deputy; Inmaculada Olivero Corral and Ana María Bertón Belizón, territorial delegates of the Junta de Andalucía.
The first distinction, the Cruzcampo Special Mention 2026, was awarded to Cervecería Botavino. Subsequently, Ultramarinos El Calvo from Puerto Real was recognized as the Best Informal Bar or Restaurant, with its owner Borja García-Prieto emphasizing the importance of Cadiz's identity and well-executed basics.
Venta Los Alamillos in Grazalema received the award for Best Roadside Inn, championing local roadside cuisine. GHOA, the project by chef José Carlos de la Bastida in Chipiona, was honored as the Best Opening of the Year.
Cervecería El Barrio in Rota received a special mention as a Godfather of the Awards, while Sea Soul by Cataria in Chiclana won the category for Best Beachfront Restaurant. The award for Best Traditional Cuisine Restaurant went to El Guadarnés in San Roque.
LÚ Cocina y Alma, the Jerez-based project by Juanlu Fernández, added another accolade by being named Best Creative Cuisine Restaurant, with head of service and co-owner Dolce Nilda accepting the award.
Excellence in service was recognized with the Best Table Service award for Código de Barra, accepted by Silvia Bejarano (head of service) and Paqui Márquez (owner), who highlighted the significance of the human team and attention to detail.
The 2026 edition stood out for representing seven different municipalities in the main awards, reflecting the culinary richness of the entire province and the excellent moment for Cadiz's hospitality sector, from traditional cuisine to new ventures.
