The well-established continuous reading event, organized by the Cádiz City Council for Book Day, took on a special significance this year. The event, held on April 23, marked the beginning of a new cultural era for the historic Tobacco Warehouses of Cádiz, which are now permanently open to the public.
This year's reading theme was dedicated to “Cádiz in verse,” paying tribute to the city through the works of Gaditano, Spanish, and foreign poets who have dedicated their verses to it throughout history.
Furthermore, the venue's library is scheduled to host an afternoon activity as part of the Cádiz City Council's Municipal Library Network's program for Book Day. This event, titled “Literary Disco Party: Books to Dance To!”, is an children's workshop designed for the enjoyment of the youngest attendees.
