Vocational Training (FP) in the province of Cadiz is strengthened for the 2026/2027 academic year with one of the largest offerings in its history, totaling 23,133 new student places across 611 courses. This expansion aims to align training with labor market needs and enhance professional integration opportunities.
The Regional Ministry of Educational Development and Vocational Training has introduced new strategic degrees. In the capital, the Higher Degree in Emergency and Civil Protection Coordination at IES Cornelio Balbo and the Higher Degree in Thermalism and Wellness at IES San Severiano stand out. IES Cornelio Balbo will also offer Distance Dietetics.
The offering extends to other locations with courses in high-potential sectors. IES Fuente Grande in Alcalá del Valle will provide the Specialization Course in Cybersecurity, while in Campo de Gibraltar, IES Mar de Poniente in La Línea de la Concepción will launch the Higher Degree in Transport and Logistics, and IES Torre Almirante in Algeciras will incorporate Industrial Automation and Robotics.
Other notable additions include the Higher Degree in Automotive at IES Doñana in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Jerez de la Frontera expands its offerings with Electrotechnical and Automated Systems at IES Francisco Romero Vargas and Restaurant Services at IES Lola Flores. Tarifa adds Tour Guide, Information, and Tourist Assistance at IES Almadraba.
In the Sierra and La Janda regions, technical trades are being reinforced. IES Paterna in Paterna de Rivera will offer Construction, IES Vía Verde in Puerto Serrano will add Interior Works, Decoration, and Renovation, IES El Convento in Bornos will provide Telecommunications Installations, and IES Castillo de Matrera in Villamartín will offer Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Installations.
The application period closes on June 30, 2026. The entire process is conducted online through the Virtual Secretariat of the Junta de Andalucía. Applicants can select up to ten preferred options, with placements based on admission scores and indicated preferences.
