The socialist representative, who is also part of the regional executive and serves as a councilor and Andalusian parliamentarian, emphasizes that these elections are not about the Popular Party, but about the PSOE and the defense of citizens' interests. He stresses that voter mobilization is crucial to prevent the current government from losing power, as happened in the general elections of 2023.
“"Ballot boxes are never filled with polls, they are filled with votes. And these elections are not about the PP, but about the PSOE."
The PSOE's campaign has focused on the state of public healthcare, education, and dependency, arguing that the current government has caused significant deterioration in these areas. It is mentioned that one in four citizens already has private health insurance due to the deficiencies in the public system, projecting that this figure could reach 50% in the next four years if the situation does not change.
The party proposes a rescue plan for healthcare, which includes increased funding and the hiring of 18,000 professionals, in addition to a profound transformation of the system. The issue of public housing is also addressed, noting the need to build 100,000 homes in Andalucía and facilitate access for young people through aid for mortgage down payments.
“"We have argued that these elections are a referendum on healthcare, on public services, on public education, on public universities..."
Regarding leadership, the socialist representative believes that the president of the Government is an important asset for mobilizing the left-wing electorate, highlighting his ability to attract people who are neither militants nor sympathizers to party events.
