The delegation from Cádiz returned home with a tally of one gold, one silver, and five bronze medals, highlighting the performance of its young athletes in various combined events and long-distance races. This result underscores the club's youth academy's strong position in the regional sports scene.
In the U14 category, one athlete claimed the gold medal in the Triathlon E combined event, accumulating 1,060 points. Their personal bests in the 2-kilometer race walk (11:36.20), javelin throw (21.57 meters), and 80-meter sprint (11.59) were crucial for their victory. Another athlete in the same category secured silver in the Triathlon D combined event with 1,176 points, improving their discus throw record to 22.06 meters, in addition to their shot put (8.90 meters) and 80-meter sprint (12.13) marks.
Bronze medals were distributed across several disciplines. One competitor achieved third place in the Triathlon A combined event with 1,000 points, excelling in shot put (7.80 meters) and improving their personal bests in the 80-meter hurdles (15.17) and 80-meter sprint (11.81). In the Triathlon B combined event, two athletes earned bronze, one with 1,234 points and improvements in javelin (17.59 meters), long jump (4.45 meters), and 1,000 meters (3:20.91), and another with 1,163 points and personal bests in javelin (27.59 meters), long jump (4.58 meters), and 1,000 meters (3:06.77).
A third bronze in U14 went to an athlete in the Triathlon E combined event with 841 points, notably achieving a personal best in the 2-kilometer race walk (11:57.77). Finally, in the U12 category, a promising young athlete secured bronze in the 2,000-meter sprint with a time of 7:30.95, setting a new personal best.
Beyond the podium finishes, the Club Polideportivo Olimpo Cádiz successfully placed several of its athletes among the finalists, showcasing the depth of its youth development program. The competition, which brought together athletes from the western Andalusian provinces, solidifies the Cádiz club's position as a key player in regional grassroots athletics.
