Citizen solidarity is crucial for maintaining hospital reserves. The Transfusion, Tissue, and Cell Center of Cádiz has launched a mobile collection that will visit different areas of Jerez to facilitate blood donation, an act that can offer a new lease on life to patients throughout the province of Cádiz.
Healthcare teams will be present at four strategic locations with specific schedules: Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Hermandad de Santa Marta (Plaza San Mateo, 3) from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM; Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Sala Paúl (Calle Paúl) from 5:00 PM to 8:45 PM; Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Centro de Barrio Torres Blancas (Paseo Torres Blancas) from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; and Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Club Social Puerta del Sur (Puertas del Sur) from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
Officials from the Promotion Area of the Transfusion Center of Cádiz emphasize the need for a continuous supply of all blood types. "We request your maximum dissemination through all available media," they stated, thanking in advance the commitment of the citizens.
Donating blood is a quick, safe, and painless process. The basic requirements are being between 18 and 65 years old, weighing over 50 kilograms, and being in good general health. Residents of Jerez are encouraged to participate and demonstrate their solidarity.
