During a campaign event held at the Casa de Iberoamérica in Cádiz, the president of the Junta de Andalucía and candidate for re-election for the PP, urged citizens to go to the polls next Sunday. His main argument focuses on the importance of obtaining a majority that guarantees stability in the region and avoids possible external conditions.
“"Andalusia needs freedom; it cannot tie its future to what someone decides from an office in Madrid. If we lose this stability majority, Andalusia will be subjected to blackmail."
The candidate recalled his experience in the previous legislature, which was cut short due to a lack of budgetary support. He stressed that the "stability majority" sought by his party is not yet secured and warned about the "overconfidence" that polls can generate, referring to past election results where forecasts were not met.
In his speech, the leader of the Andalusian PP also highlighted his government's achievements in the province of Cádiz, mentioning the "spectacular" drop in unemployment and efforts towards reindustrialization. He announced the upcoming commissioning of 10,000 homes in the province, combining new construction and rehabilitation of abandoned buildings, and the continuation of his tax reduction policy.
He also criticized the Spanish Government for the lack of investment in infrastructure in Andalusia, pointing out the absence of new kilometers of commuter or medium-distance trains, improvements in airports, and general interest works, as well as the railway isolation of the port of Algeciras.
Also participating in the event was the number one PP candidate for Cádiz to the Andalusian Parliament, who praised the candidate's management and criticized the socialist candidate for her "lack of respect for the Guardia Civil" regarding her statements on a recent incident.
