If construction proceeds as planned, May 29 will mark the inauguration of 'El Cirio', a new hospitality venue in Cádiz. This project, spearheaded by a local restaurateur, will be situated in the former premises of the Los Camino bar, on the central Rosario Street.
“"At ‘El Cirio’ I will combine my two passions: Holy Week and my mother's cooking. It will be a tavern-museum, with images and decoration related to the brotherhood world."
Although the establishment aims to be a meeting point for enthusiasts of Cádiz's Holy Week, its promoters hope it will attract a diverse audience. The idea is to create an atmosphere where any customer can enjoy the offering, similar to other themed venues that bring together people with different interests.
The tavern's gastronomic offer will focus on traditional cuisine, inspired by homemade recipes. The menu will include various tapas, a daily stew, montaditos, cheeses, and cured meats, complemented by a selection of wines and beers. The initial team will consist of three people, led by the owner.
This new business represents the second venture for the restaurateur, who already manages a burger joint on San José Street. For him, each establishment is an opportunity to develop projects he is passionate about. Meanwhile, the Los Camino bar, which previously occupied the premises on Rosario Street, will relocate to the former burger joint's location.
