The La Isla del Blues Festival, one of the most significant blues events in Spain, will celebrate its 27th edition in Cádiz, a city that has hosted most of its editions since its inception in 1997. The event will take place on July 17 and 18, 2026 at the iconic Baluarte de la Candelaria.
With nearly three decades of history, the festival maintains its essence by combining blues tradition with international talent and a strong commitment to the future of the genre. This year's lineup highlights female artists and the inclusion of a new generation of performers, ensuring the continuity and evolution of the blues.
The program for this edition includes guitarist Taj Farrant, singer and bassist Danielle Nicole, the band Noa & The Hell Drinkers, and artist Ángela Hoodoo. The organizers emphasize that these four high-caliber artistic proposals reaffirm the festival's commitment to quality, diversity, and international projection, establishing Cádiz as a key location in the blues circuit.
Taj Farrant, a young Australian guitarist, is considered one of the great revelations of current blues-rock, and his performance will mark his debut in Spain. Meanwhile, Danielle Nicole, a recognized voice in contemporary blues, returns to the festival after her successful performance in Cádiz in 2024, and will present new tracks from her upcoming album.
The lineup is completed by Noa & The Hell Drinkers, a band from Donostia that has gained recognition in the European scene for their powerful live shows and their fusion of blues and soul, and by the artist Ángela Hoodoo from Granada, whose fresh and energetic style blends blues, rock, and American roots.
Tickets for the festival, sponsored by the Diputación de Cádiz and with the collaboration of the Ayuntamiento de Cádiz, are already available online, and physical sales points will be enabled starting in June.
