The UTE Catamaranes Bahía de Cádiz, through the website of the Consorcio de Transportes Bahía de Cádiz, has announced this interruption. Initially, the maritime service operated normally on all its connections, but the forecast of "adverse weather conditions" has forced the specific suspension of the Cádiz-Rota route.
The service interruption on the Cádiz-Rota line will last from 2:05 PM to 8:00 PM. On the other hand, maritime connections linking Cádiz with El Puerto de Santa María show no alterations and will maintain their usual schedules.
Despite the inclement weather in the Bay of Cádiz, the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras has confirmed that maritime routes between Algeciras and Tangier (Morocco) have no planned cancellations. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has forecast showers and thunderstorms for this weekend on the Cádiz coast, mainly affecting the area from Conil to Barbate, including Tarifa and the Campo de Gibraltar.
