The City Council of Cádiz has intensified surveillance actions in the Free Trade Zone following a police intervention that dismantled an illegal driver gathering.

The Local Police acted swiftly in response to a gathering of drivers near the ITV station in the outer industrial estate of the Free Trade Zone, a situation that jeopardized coexistence and road safety.
The operation was initiated after receiving reports of a massive influx of vehicles, which caused traffic congestion. Numerous cars were irregularly occupying lanes, partially blocking normal traffic flow and creating a situation of clear vulnerability. Some attendees engaged in negligent and extremely reckless driving maneuvers.
During the operation, officers identified the improperly parked vehicles and the drivers involved in the dynamic disturbances. The operation resulted in the formal processing of forty-three sanctioning files for various infractions.
Among the imposed sanctions were twenty-seven direct fines for improper parking that impeded normal circulation, as well as nine specific citations for vehicles with illegal modifications or free exhausts, causing significant noise pollution and disturbance to residents.
Furthermore, the police force issued three sanctions for abrupt and unnecessary accelerations without basic safety precautions, two serious citations for reckless driving, one for negligent driving, and a final infraction for a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction of the established traffic signs.
After controlling the most problematic points and reducing the presence of misplaced vehicles, patrols urged the gathered individuals to leave the area definitively to restore citizen safety and tranquility.
The City Council of Cádiz calls for collective responsibility, reminding citizens that traffic regulations are designed to protect the physical integrity of drivers, pedestrians, and society as a whole. It warns that such unauthorized gatherings exponentially increase the danger on urban roads, and therefore, permanent surveillance will be maintained in critical areas.
