The decision, unanimously taken during the April plenary session, aims to fund new actions in key infrastructures. Of the total amount, 17.5 million will be allocated to the repair of provincial roads, which were severely affected by the heavy rainfall.
Additionally, approximately five million euros have been assigned to mitigate risks arising from meteorological phenomena, specifically for repairing landslides that threaten several localities. Around 500,000 euros will be invested in improving local paths, and an adjustment will be made to the Local Cooperation Plan to fix potholes and landslips.
“"It is no small matter, and there are many actions."
The plenary also approved various plans for 2026 from the areas of Ecological Transition and Citizen Development. The Ecological Transition plan will have a budget of 4.2 million euros, including 705,000 euros to assist municipalities in collecting Asian algae and 500,000 euros for the fight against the Nile virus, in addition to other environmental initiatives.
Furthermore, plans for gastronomy and sports activities, as well as improvements to sports facilities, were approved. These will benefit municipalities with up to 75,000 inhabitants, covering both infrastructure and equipment.
“"As we said, everything that comes to alleviate the effect of the storms, we will vote in favor."
