The initiative, taking place at the Depósitos de Tabaco, primarily seeks to raise awareness about the employment situation of this demographic and promote their access to the job market or entrepreneurship. The event will feature actress Teté Delgado, who will share her personal experience of career change.
The day is part of the national campaign ‘The power to reinvent oneself’ and will be inaugurated by various institutional and labor sector figures. Among the participants are the president of the Cádiz Chamber of Commerce, the provincial director of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), and the deputy mayor of the Cádiz City Council, among others.
“"It is essential to continue training throughout one's working life, and institutions play a key role in improving employability."
The program will include a conversation with Teté Delgado and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, where the importance of continuous training and the role of institutions in improving employability will be discussed. A beneficiary of the Talento 45+ program, an initiative designed to facilitate job placement for people in this age group, will also participate.
Additionally, a round table will be held with the president of the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz and a local entrepreneur, who will offer their perspective on the value of professional experience and the opportunities arising from accumulated knowledge in the business and port sectors. Attendees will also learn about MiiA, a conversational artificial intelligence assistant for seniors, presented by the Más Sénior Foundation.
This event is part of the Talento 45+ program of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus and developed in collaboration with the SEPE and the 65YMÁS platform. The program offers guidance, training, and support to individuals between 45 and 60 years old who are unemployed or inactive.
