The development, located on Garcia de Sola street, was promoted by the municipal company Procasa. The building features a layout adapted to various needs: ten two-bedroom units, eight three-bedroom units, and two one-bedroom units. The allocation prioritized specific groups, including individuals over 65 and citizens with reduced mobility.
The project required a total investment of 2.6 million euros, resulting from collaboration between the Cadiz City Council, the Regional Government of Andalusia, and the Central Government. Additionally, the initiative received support from Next Generation European funds, aimed at promoting energy efficiency in social housing.
This move is temporary for the beneficiaries, who will return to their original neighborhood once the future urban development project in Manuel de Falla is completed. The municipal plan includes the construction of over 200 new homes in the area, which will necessitate staggered relocations over the coming years.
“"This delivery represents an important step in addressing the housing problem in the city."
