During the presentation of the new coach, Imanol Idiakez, the coordinator of Cádiz CF's sports management addressed the difficulties of the first team. He emphasized that the current situation was not what was expected in November and that the atmosphere at the club is one of concern, affecting all levels, from the presidency to the last employee.
“"It is clear that this is not what we expected in November. We are all having a hard time, from the president to the last employee of the club. The situation of the first team always sets the general mood, and sleepless nights, tension, and that less affable atmosphere are the result of the concern we feel for our work."
In contrast to the first team's situation, the official highlighted the good performance of the reserve team. He stated that the main objective with the youth team is to prepare players for their potential integration into the first team, in addition to competing, and believes that the objectives set in this area are being met.
Despite the adversities, the sports management coordinator expressed optimism and enthusiasm, referring to his personal experience in football, where he has experienced both relegations and promotions. His current focus is on the six remaining matches of the season, which he referred to as a “mini-league” that requires maximum enthusiasm and optimism, especially with the arrival of the new coach.
Finally, he referred to the decision to reassign a member of the technical secretariat to the field, explaining that the new coach arrived with his own coaching staff and requested additional support to prepare the remaining matches. This collaboration is presented as circumstantial and necessary to assist the coaching staff in this final stretch of the competition.
