According to data from the Foreign Trade Statistics, the autonomous community surpassed national growth, which registered a slight decrease of 0.8% during the same period. In the accumulated figures for January and February, Andalusia totaled 7,030 million euros in exports, solidifying its position as the third-largest exporting region in the country.
The vegetable sector continues to lead as the main export driver, with 1,361 million euros in the first two months of the year, representing a 16.6% increase. The aerospace industry experienced remarkable growth, invoicing 439 million euros in February alone, a 199% rise from the previous year, and reaching 622 million in the annual accumulated total.
Despite the overall strong performance, the Province of Cádiz recorded a 23.7% decrease in its exports, totaling 1,011 million euros between January and February. This decline is primarily attributed to a drop in fuel exports, affected by reduced international prices. Other provinces like Huelva also experienced a setback in their foreign sales.
In contrast, Seville leads provincial growth with 1,699 million euros exported, a 27.3% increase, driven by the aerospace industry. Almería ranks second with 1,529 million, thanks to vegetable sales. Other products such as metalliferous minerals, copper, and electrical equipment also showed significant increases.
The diversification of destinations is another notable trend, with the United States, Morocco, China, and Indonesia among the top ten non-European markets. Germany is consolidated as Andalusia's main trading partner, with 999 million euros and a 27.4% growth.
