lalavadoraTV, an audiovisual project from Cádiz focused on interviews and documentaries, expands its offerings with the miniseries What you didn't know about Sancti Petri, available on YouTube and Spotify. The initiative, driven by communicator José Antonio Troitiño Virués, aims to promote the history and culture of the Bay of Cádiz.
The new four-episode documentary production stems from guided tours by heritage communicator Antonio Santandreu and explores lesser-known stories of the settlement. "Sancti Petri has a lot to tell and is still largely unknown to many people," notes Troitiño, who admires Santandreu's ability to narrate history.
In addition to the Sancti Petri series, lalavadoraTV continues its in-person interviews at Bar El Palenque and has featured profiles such as writer Julián Cano and carnival enthusiast Copiqui Santander. Troitiño describes his style as "mobile journalism" and "street-level," seeking a natural and close atmosphere.
The creator aims to expand the project throughout the Bay of Cádiz, expressing interest in interviewing figures like Álex ‘El Peluca’ or Antonio Reguera, and artists such as Niña Pastori. "I am very interested in authentic people, those who have something behind them, something to tell, and their own way of seeing the world," he states.
For the coming months, lalavadoraTV is preparing special content on summer, tourism, and cultural events in the province, along with new formats like street surveys and more mobile, relatable journalism. Troitiño dreams of having his own studio for live programs with an audience.
Concurrently, Troitiño is promoting Gadeira News, a project launched two years ago that combines archaeological and cultural news from the Bay of Cádiz, focusing on disseminating and valuing local culture and history.
