The Navy has awarded the design project for the construction of new Accommodation Barracks at the Non-Commissioned Officers School (Esubo) in San Fernando for €157,710. The contract, formalized by the Economic Management Directorate of the Logistics Support Command, has been published in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
The company COR ASOC S.L., based in Alicante, was selected from 21 bidders. The award, made on April 24, valued the technical quality of the proposals at 51% and the price at 49%. The winning bid was €157,710, compared to others ranging from €155,111.11 to €281,847.60.
This action addresses the need to renovate the current accommodation facilities of the Esubo. The existing building, the “Admiral Diego Brochero” barracks, along with its adjacent laundry services, features outdated installations. Despite recent renovations, the current capacity for 276 students is insufficient for future needs.
The objective is to equip the Non-Commissioned Officers School with modern infrastructure that meets current teaching and residential standards, anticipating an increase in student numbers. The current award covers only the technical project design; construction will require subsequent approvals and tenders.
The Navy's Non-Commissioned Officers School is a key training center in the province of Cádiz and a significant element in the economy of San Fernando. The modernization of its facilities is part of broader plans by the Ministry of Defence to update military barracks.
