Hotel occupancy in four and five-star establishments in Novo Sancti Petri and La Loma exceeded 90.46% during the past month of July, maintaining similar data to the same month last year. The five-star establishments, which include four hotels and one aparthotel, reached an occupancy of 85.54%. For their part, the ten four-star establishments registered an average of 93.21%.
Three-star hotels and aparthotels recorded an occupancy of 78.27%, while two-star hotels and hostels reached 83.75%. The municipal delegate for Sustainable Tourism, Manuela Pérez, highlighted that these figures confirm the forecasts of a very positive summer, consolidating Chiclana as one of the most important destinations in the country.
Manuela Pérez emphasized that the occupancy figures for the large four and five-star hotels, which total over 13,000 beds following the incorporation of the Amare Sancti Petri hotel, are practically identical to last year's. She stressed that the tourism model based on sustainability and quality has proven successful, consolidating the sector's strong performance in the municipality, which is considered one of the most sought-after destinations in Spain and among the top in Europe.
Forecasts for August are optimistic, and efforts are underway to extend the summer season, keeping hotels and tourism businesses open for a significant part of the year with a wide range of cultural, sports, and leisure activities.
