The month of July in Chiclana was marked by an extensive cultural, tourist, and traditional program, consolidating a city model that promotes well-being and stimulates the economy, especially during the 150th anniversary of its City title.

Throughout the 31 days of July, Chiclana offered dozens of activities for all audiences, resulting from the collaboration between the City Council, cultural and sports entities, neighborhood associations, brotherhoods, social groups, and companies. Mayor José María Román highlighted that this intense agenda was possible thanks to this joint effort.
Culture took center stage, with the Teatro Moderno hosting varied shows, and the Chiclana Museum and the Wine and Salt Interpretation Center presenting initiatives combining heritage, literature, and music. The Book Fair reinforced the city's literary commitment, featuring figures like Ian Gibson and Luis García Montero. Programs like ‘Música al Fresquito’, the ‘Chiclana de Cine’ series, and children's activities completed the offerings, aiming to make culture a constant public service.
Chiclana's tourist offering was boosted by the Concert Music Festival in Sancti Petri, which attracted thousands of visitors and stimulated the local economy. The beaches, recognized for their quality, also hosted sports, cultural, and family activities, complementing the municipality's natural resources.
Popular festivals and traditional celebrations, such as the events honoring the Virgen del Carmen, the celebration of Santa Ana, the Moscatel Festival, popular fairs, and the Night of the Phoenician Candles, strengthened the social fabric and sense of belonging. The mayor emphasized that these celebrations are an attraction for visitors and residents, and that sports also played a significant role with solidarity activities and competitions.
The July program is considered a strategic investment for economic development, generating activity in hospitality, commerce, transport, and tourism. This model contributes to de-seasonalizing tourism and reinforcing Chiclana's image as a tourist destination. The Market Hall is highlighted as a city driver, a space for coexistence and local identity.
The July balance confirms Chiclana's progress, combining economic growth, tourism promotion, culture, traditions, and quality of life. The objective for August is to maintain this line of work. The mayor noted that investments focus on people and building a city of opportunities.
Hotel occupancy exceeded 92 percent, and unemployment dropped to 6,367 people, figures not seen since 2007 despite population growth. The mayor mentioned the proximity to full employment and the need for pending infrastructure from the Junta.
