The mayor of Chiclana, José María Román, and the president of the Chiclana Industrial Football Club, Francisco Cordero, have formalized the collaboration agreement between the two entities. The council will contribute a total of 12,000 euros to the sports club to cover operational, management, and maintenance expenses during 2026. The event was also attended by the delegate for Sports, Isabel Butrón.
José María Román highlighted the entity's notable trajectory and that of its board of directors, describing their relationship as "very good and intense." He recalled the club's excellent facilities at El Fontanal and emphasized the significant social work carried out by the Industrial in its area of influence, promoting sports participation among children. The mayor also expressed his gratitude for the entity's daily efforts.
The mayor further stated that "collaborating with Chiclana Industrial goes far beyond the purely sporting aspect, as the entity is a very important space for social development." He highlighted the area's sports complex, whose "facilities make Chiclana's sporting reality more robust".
For his part, Francisco Cordero expressed his gratitude to the mayor and the delegate for their constant support and interest in Chiclana Industrial. He noted that "this year, the category is more costly, and the City Council is always sensitive to this, as this agreement improves upon previous years." He emphasized that the academy is a "sporting heritage" aimed at nurturing the first team, adding that "most of our first-team players have been trained in our youth system; that is our fundamental pillar and the path on which we focus our work."
