The Sports Delegation is joining the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Chiclana being granted the title of City by organizing the first edition of the 150 Years Chiclana City Night Race. The event will take place tomorrow, Saturday, starting at 9:30 PM along the shore of La Barrosa Beach.
The race, supported by local athletics clubs, the Andalusian Athletics Federation, Fibra Sancti Petri, and the Organizing Committee for the 150th Anniversary of Chiclana City Title, will start and finish at La Barrosa Beach, near the Plaza de Las Banderas. Participants will cover a distance of 5,000 meters along the shore and part of the promenade.
As it is a night race, a significant portion of the course runs through unlit areas, making the use of a headlamp or suitable lighting for nocturnal sports mandatory. The municipal delegate for Sports, Isabel Butrón, has invited the public to enjoy the event, highlighting the spectacular image of hundreds of athletes with headlamps running on the sand under the full moon.
Bib collection will be held this afternoon from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Municipal Athletics Stadium of Huerta Mata, and tomorrow, Saturday, from 7:00 PM at the Plaza de las Banderas on the La Barrosa Promenade.
