Attendees will be able to enjoy a free tasting of 170 kilos of this traditional gastronomic product, distributed at the Plaza de las Bodegas. This location will host most of the sales stands, with two additional points this year: one on Constitución street, in front of the City Hall, and another on La Vega street, opposite the Municipal Library.
Four local producers will participate: Bar-Carnicería El Colinero, Carnicería Francisco Alcántara, Autoservicio José Luis Marco, and Carnicería La Blanca Paloma. A demonstration of the preparation process will be held, along with the distribution of informational brochures.
Musical performances will feature Andrés ‘El Lince’ and the group ‘Darshan’ at the Plaza de las Bodegas; ‘Saxo’ at the Plaza de Andalucía; and ‘Enclave’ on Constitución street.
Manuela Pérez highlighted the main objective of reinforcing the ‘Chicharrón de Chiclana’ brand and revitalizing the city center, supporting local businesses and hospitality. Hospitality establishments will offer special dishes with innovative chicharrón recipes.
Blas Ramírez added that the sales points will offer chicharrón in cubes and as montaditos, and that many restaurateurs have innovated, transforming the product into a cutting-edge offering.
