The Harvest Festival in Chiclana returns on September 4th, at 9:00 PM, with the Plaza Mayor as the main new venue and an expanded capacity.

The event, announced by the municipal delegate for Economic Development, Manuela Pérez; Iberoartis representative, Jacob Guerrero; and winemakers Chano Aragón and José Reyes, will feature a tasting for 450 people, 150 more than last year. Participation will cost 10 euros, of which five will be refunded as a deposit upon returning the pairing board.
Those wishing to enjoy the flamenco show in the areas adjacent to the tasting will be able to do so for free, without needing to enter the cordoned-off area. Tickets will go on sale on the day of the event, at 7:30 PM, in the Plaza Mayor, with no advance sales. The flamenco show, starring Iberoartis, will begin at 9:00 PM.
During the tasting, wines from Chiclana wineries will be sampled, paired with local products. The selection includes Fino Arroyuelo and Amontillado Fossi from Primitivo Collantes; Palo Cortao and Oloroso Tío Alejandro from Manuel Aragón; and Cream and Moscatel Don Matías from the Cooperative.
Manuela Pérez highlighted that the aim of the changes is to allow more people to attend and for attendees to enjoy the flamenco show for free in adjacent spaces. She noted that the tasting is for adults only and seats will not be reserved. The delegate emphasized that the event celebrates Chiclana's wine tradition, agricultural work, and flamenco culture.
Jacob Guerrero described the tasting as a spectacle in itself, choreographed with flamenco dance to showcase the nuances of the wines. Chano Aragón called the festival the culmination of a year's work with a good harvest, stressing Chiclana's importance within the Jerez region and Spain for its wine, gastronomy, and art.
José Reyes thanked the City Council for its commitment to the Harvest Festival and highlighted the current harvest's quality, noting that the event will help showcase the Cooperative's unique wines.
