The institution, which brings together the 27 brotherhoods of La Isla, has issued a statement adhering to the declarations of the Archbishop of Seville, José Ángel Saiz Meneses, regarding the government's initiative.
We reaffirm our firm commitment to the defense of human life, especially in its most vulnerable stages.
The Council stresses that abortion is an act gravely contrary to human dignity and the teachings of the Church, as the archbishop has reminded. This stance aligns with that of other confraternities that have already spoken out on the matter.
The religious entity emphasizes its role as faith corporations, called not only to proclaim these principles but also to promote a serene and respectful reflection in society, defending the culture of life and support for those facing difficulties.
Finally, the Council of Brotherhoods of San Fernando invites its brotherhoods, confraternity members, and all citizens to continue working for a society that protects and values all human life from conception, serving as witnesses of hope and commitment.
