The initiative is aimed at third and fourth-year students of Compulsory Secondary Education and will take place at the San Antonio de Padua School on November 5 and at the IES Fernando III on November 12. It will feature four inmates from the UTE of the Jaén Penitentiary Center, who will share their personal experiences with the students.
The activity employs a dialogue-based methodology, aiming to bring real testimonies to young people to help them understand the consequences of alcohol and drug consumption, question social influences, and reflect on the importance of personal decisions.
The objective is to provide tools to cope with peer pressure, develop critical and responsible attitudes, recognize potential risk situations, and understand the importance of seeking help when necessary. Furthermore, it promotes a more humane view of incarcerated individuals and highlights the value of personal change, responsibility, and social reintegration.
“"We thank the Therapeutic and Educational Unit of the Jaén Penitentiary Center for promoting this initiative and offering young people an educational experience of great value, as well as the San Antonio de Padua School and IES Fernando III for their willingness, collaboration, and involvement."
