The Councilor for Education, Gema Lara, accompanied by the CAIT coordinator, Candela Toribio, has presented the new edition of the Municipal Family School. This year, the initiative collaborates with the Early Childhood Care Center (CAIT) of Martos and will offer four workshops during the first trimester, designed to provide families with tools and resources to navigate the different stages of parenting.
Gema Lara explained that the program seeks to "create a space for encounter and trust where parents can raise their doubts and concerns about the education and development of their children." The councilor highlighted that the content responds both to concerns raised by families and to needs detected daily in the educational sphere.
As a novelty, all sessions will be held in the auditorium of the UNED, located on Príncipe Felipe avenue, the training center for the Department of Education.
For her part, Candela Toribio noted that this collaboration stems from the center's daily experience and the concerns and needs expressed by families, aiming to bring the guidance of specialized professionals closer to all families in Martos.
The program will begin on Friday, October 23rd, with a session on child development led by psychologist José Gabriel Pérez Buenaño. The second workshop, on November 6th, will be titled 'Growing through Play: Games and Toys that Foster Autonomy and Educate in Equality,' led by Marta Moreno. On November 20th, speech therapist Miguel Ángel Garrido and expert in Hearing and Language, Lourdes Vicente, will offer a session dedicated to communication and language in children. The program will conclude on December 11th with a workshop on psychomotor stimulation in babies, led by physiotherapist Gema Rízquez-Castro.
Registration can be completed through the municipal website.
