The Parish Church of San Juan de Dios in Martos was the venue for the official presentation of the poster and program for the 10th Tuccitan Young Confraternity Members Meeting. This event, organized by the Brotherhood of the Holy True Cross of Martos, marks its tenth edition and has become a significant gathering point for the city's young confraternity members.
During the ceremony, confraternity, institutional, and organizational authorities highlighted the importance of this anniversary. The councilor for Relations with Confraternities and Holy Week, Juan Pérez Centeno, reaffirmed the City Council's support for initiatives that strengthen the associative, cultural, and religious fabric of Martos' youth. Meanwhile, Martín García Padilla, president of the Local Union of Confraternities of Martos, emphasized the institutional backing for this project that promotes fraternity among local confraternities.
Antonio Moncayo Garrido, senior brother of the Faustinian Brotherhood of the Holy True Cross, underscored the brotherhood's trajectory and enthusiasm for this tenth edition, stressing the importance of creating spaces for young people to experience their faith. Irene Ortega Moncayo, representing the Organizing Committee, thanked the parishes, speakers, musicians, and volunteers involved, and recalled the event's charitable aspect through a collection of non-perishable food for the "Nazareth Social Work".
Iván Marchal Urbano, Youth Representative, focused on the dynamic and educational content of the program, designed to strengthen the active commitment of young people within their brotherhoods. He called for the mobilization of Martos' youth, urging them to be the true "Light of Christ." He also expressed gratitude to the company Pureza Cofrade and the Monte Calvario Band of Cornets and Drums.
The motto for this edition, "Come and follow me, walk towards the glory of my Cross," encapsulates the spirit of the program, which will prominently feature the Relic of the Holy Lignum Crucis. Its presence will preside over the main events, including the opening prayer, the Saturday procession and Vigil of Prayer, and Sunday's Holy Mass.
The poster, created by Juan José Dorado Espinosa, and the event's official website were also unveiled during the presentation. Free registrations will be open from August 25th to September 18th.
On September 19th and 20th, Martos will be the local hub for young confraternity members with a program including talks, a round table discussion, social gatherings, and various activities focused on confraternity faith, as well as recreational and educational proposals. The organization encourages all young people to actively participate in this annual event.
