As part of the Sustainable Tourism Plan for Destinations (PSTD), new infrastructures are being created for educational and scenic purposes. The selected sites for these viewpoints are Paseo del Calvario, Parque Periurbano, Vado Jaén, and the district of Las Casillas.
The viewpoint at Paseo del Calvario is unique as it is dedicated to the sun, unlike the others which focus on stars. The Councilor for the Presidency, Francisco Miranda, stated that this initiative represents "one more tourist attraction within the actions being carried out to continue equipping both Martos residents and visitors with attractive infrastructure."
Each viewpoint features bilingual information panels (Spanish and English) covering content on solar and stellar astronomy. Additionally, a QR code has been integrated, which directs visitors to the municipality's tourism website for further information.
“"One more tourist attraction within the actions being carried out to continue equipping both Martos residents and visitors with attractive infrastructure."
Through this project, Martos strengthens its commitment to sustainable and distinctive tourism, adding a resource that combines scientific dissemination with the enjoyment of the natural environment and accessibility for all types of visitors.
