The Martos City Council has renewed its collaboration agreement with the Spanish Red Cross in Jaén, ensuring support for the organization's headquarters and structure in the locality.
The mayor of Martos, Emilio Torres, and the delegate of the Provincial Committee of the Spanish Red Cross in Jaén, Miguel Ángel Maldonado, formalized the renewal of the collaboration agreement today. This agreement will allow the Martos City Council to grant a subsidy aimed at contributing to the maintenance of the Red Cross's headquarters and structure in the town.
During the signing ceremony, Torres highlighted the significant presence of the Red Cross in Martos and the work the entity carries out in various fields. He placed special emphasis on supporting individuals and groups in vulnerable situations, as well as on training and active job search initiatives.

"Martos has a very important presence of the Red Cross, and I want to highlight the work it has been doing in different areas. We want to sign this collaboration agreement for another year to strengthen not only its presence but also the various services it provides to different groups, especially those who are vulnerable or are seeking employment."
The mayor also emphasized the close collaboration between the Red Cross and the Martos City Council, particularly in providing preventive services during the city's main events, such as the Fair, the Pilgrimage, or Holy Week. This collaboration is based on the organization's presence in the town, its resources at the regional and provincial levels, and the qualification of its personnel to handle such devices.
For his part, Miguel Ángel Maldonado thanked the Martos City Council for the "long-standing collaboration" between both institutions, which is materialized once again with the renewal of the agreement. He explained that the municipal contribution is allocated to the sustenance of the Local Assembly of the Red Cross in Martos, supporting its structure and operations.

"From Cruz Roja Jaén, we are very satisfied with this line of collaboration, an open collaboration that always counts on the availability and sensitivity of the City Council in all matters that may arise, especially concerning the most vulnerable groups, who are a benchmark for us."
