District mayor Carmeli Aguilera invited residents and visitors to participate in the celebrations, stressing the deep devotion to La Sagrada Familia in Las Casillas. A large turnout is expected, with the confirmed presence of the orchestra Calle 40.
Although events began at the end of June, the following weekend will mark the main celebration. The head organizer, Inmaculada Expósito, will give the opening speech after the float parade on Friday at 10:30 PM, followed by a popular festival.
Saturday will kick off with a 'diana floreada' (morning wake-up call). In the afternoon, the procession will begin at 8:00 PM, followed by the orchestra Calle 40 at 11:00 PM and a DJ for younger attendees.
Sunday's program includes religious services such as the Eucharist at 1:00 PM, a fellowship meal, a foam party, and a performance by the Trío Stylo.
