The General Elections in Spain are scheduled for November 29. For citizens who will not be at their usual residence on that date, the mail-in ballot request process has been enabled.
The period to request a mail-in ballot runs from today, October 6, until November 19. Applications can be made at any Correos office or online through the postal company's website.
For online applications, it will be necessary to authenticate identity using an electronic ID or a valid digital certificate, thus avoiding the need to visit an office in person.
Voters who have requested a mail-in ballot will receive the necessary documentation between November 9 and November 23. Subsequently, the deadline for depositing the mail-in vote will be November 25.
This process has been designed as a guaranteed system to ensure all citizens can exercise their right to vote.
