Tatiana Pozo, delegate for Human Resources and Energy of the Provincial Council and president of the Córdoba Energy Agency, visited Villa del Río, in the Alto Guadalquivir region, to learn firsthand about actions financed by the provincial institution. These subsidies are for projects on energy saving and efficiency, renewable energies, and emission reduction for local entities, companies, cooperatives, and pensioner households.
Pozo recalled that the Agency has subsidized projects in the region totaling 289,052 euros, representing an investment of 429,776 euros. "We seek to promote a more efficient and sustainable energy model in the province by supporting actions that reduce consumption and also expenditure," she stated.
The Agency's president highlighted that the aid aims to improve the efficiency of buildings and facilities, incorporate renewable energies, and reduce CO2 emissions, with specific lines for local entities, companies, cooperatives, and senior residences. The commitment to energy saving is evident in the increased credits allocated to the calls for proposals.
In Villa del Río, the projects visited represent an investment of 40,000 euros, of which 30,000 euros were allocated to lighting replacement and 10,000 euros to the Pensioner's Home. The actions include replacing lighting with LEDs on several avenues and streets, as well as in the Oleum neighborhood, the San Isidro Recinto, and the Lopera street overpass.

In Pedro Abad, funding was provided for a solar photovoltaic installation at the Town Hall. In Algallarín, radiators were replaced in the public school and solar panels were installed at the Consistorial House. In Cañete de las Torres, funding has been provided for improving the building envelope and joinery at the San Miguel Senior Residence, a photovoltaic installation at the Municipal Clean Point, and improvements at the Active Participation Center.
In Bujalance, subsidized projects include a photovoltaic self-consumption installation at the municipal gym, the switch to LED lighting, a self-consumption generation system at the Virgen del Voto oil mill, the replacement of the boiler at the San Juan de Dios Hospital, and interior lighting replacement in various municipal buildings.
