The contest, which will proceed regardless of weather conditions, allows freedom of style and technique. Works must focus on Pedro Abad, its landscapes, monuments, and streets. The organization reserves the right to disqualify any artwork deemed not to adhere to the established theme.
Registration will be open until November 7th. Participants can register in person at the Pedro Abad Town Hall between 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM; by phone at 606 66 07 05; or via email at mvillarejoaytopedroabad@gmail.com, attaching the required personal details. On-site registration will also be possible on the day of the event, between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, at Plaza de Andalucía. Pre-registration is recommended to avoid queues.
Each participant must provide their own materials, including the easel. The artwork support, which must be submitted unframed and without glass, should be rigid, white, smooth, and measure between 70x64 cm and 120x120 cm. The support will be stamped on the day of the contest at Plaza de Andalucía, next to the Church, between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. In case of inclement weather, submission will take place at the Multicultural Center. Disqualification may occur if the frame is deformed.
Presentation of a National ID or passport is mandatory. Foreign artists must provide a certificate of tax residency. A bank account number is recommended for prize recipients.
The contest includes a children's category for artists under 16 years old born after January 1, 2010, with rigid supports of at least 30x20 cm. The painting time will end at 4:00 PM, with finished and unsigned works to be submitted as indicated by the organization. The professional jury will begin deliberations at 4:30 PM.
Awarded artworks will become the property of the entity granting the prize, along with reproduction rights. The organization is not responsible for any loss or damage to the works. Submitted artworks may be used for future event posters and other promotional materials. Participation implies full acceptance of these rules.
The jury's decision will be final and they reserve the right to declare any prize void.
The competition features a wide range of prizes. The First «Municipal» Prize is €1,200, the Second «Municipal» Prize is €1,000, and the Third «Municipal» Prize is €600. The Fourth and Fifth «Municipal» Prizes are €500 each, while the Sixth «Municipal» Prize is €400. Other prizes include the Seventh «Grupo Municipal Partido Popular» Prize (€400), the Eighth «Hostal Macami» Prize (€300), the Ninth «Panadería Benito» Prize (€280), and the Tenth «ARPA (Arquitectura Pedro Abad)» Prize (€280). Additionally, the «Rodrigo Prieto Rojas» Local Prize is €200. In the children's category, the First Prize is €100 and the Second Prize consists of a painting set.
