The Urban Planning and Education departments of the Villa del Río City Council have announced the completion of maintenance, conservation, and improvement works at the CEIP «Poeta Molleja». These interventions, carried out during the summer period and particularly in recent weeks, aim to get the center's facilities ready for the start of the new 2026/2027 school year.
Key actions include the pruning and trimming of trees in the outdoor areas to enhance maintenance and safety, as well as the installation of a video surveillance system to strengthen facility security and prevent vandalism. Additionally, classrooms have been cleaned and prepared, and the school's benches have been painted and maintained.
Works have also been undertaken to repair and restore deteriorated coatings on various walls of the center. These tasks involved chipping away and removing loose or damaged plaster, followed by its replacement with mortar to properly preserve these surfaces.
These interventions are part of the regular maintenance efforts by the City Council in municipal educational facilities, utilizing the holiday period to ensure the center is in optimal condition before the return of students and staff.
The Villa del Río City Council has expressed gratitude for the involvement of the Urban Planning personnel, as well as the collaboration of the center's own staff and the cleaning team in these preparation tasks.
