The Urban Planning department of the Villa del Río City Council has reported on the renovation of the air conditioning system for the municipal building that houses the Municipal Market and Civic Center. This action aims to significantly enhance the comfort conditions and energy efficiency of these public facilities.
The intervention addresses a long-standing demand from market traders, who experienced high temperatures during the summer months. Previously, provisional air conditioning solutions were used, making this upgrade a stable and adequate response to the building's needs.
In the Municipal Market, six 9 kW cassette-type air conditioning units have been installed, featuring heat pump, inverter technology, and low noise levels. The budget for this part of the work, including the removal of old equipment, amounted to €17,387.70.
Meanwhile, the Civic Center facilities have received an investment of €14,665.20 for the installation of five new air conditioning units: three 9 kW floor-ceiling units and two split inverter units, aimed at improving the thermal conditions in the building's various rooms and areas.
The total investment of €32,052.90 for the modernization of this municipal building's air conditioning has been financed through the Provincial Plan Diputación Invierte 2026 from the Provincial Council of Córdoba.
This initiative modernizes daily-use facilities, improves working conditions for market traders, and offers more comfortable spaces for users of the Civic Center. The Villa del Río City Council continues to seek funding to enhance its municipal buildings.
