The group alleges that systemic failures within the 061 and 112 emergency services may have exacerbated the consequences of the train accident in Adamuz. According to a document accessed by this newspaper, personnel at the Córdoba 061 Health Emergency Coordination Center were forced to manage the catastrophe "with paper and pencil" due to a computer system malfunction.
The complaint details that managers had to use their "personal phones" and operate "without contact with the 112 coordination center" after the failure of standard tools. The association emphasizes that only the "skill" and "many years of experience" of the staff prevented an even greater tragedy, describing the situation as "chaos" from a technical perspective.
Only the actions of the professionals, with many years of experience, made it possible to manage what was technically a chaotic situation.
The document also highlights an "initial confusion" in alert management, already noted by the Guardia Civil. Due to the high volume of calls, information regarding the Alvia train was initially interpreted as a "less serious" accident or confused with the derailed Iryo train.
Furthermore, the complaint submitted to Juanma Moreno indicates that sources close to the operation claim that "basic communication protocols" were not followed, including identifying the accident sites and the victims' conditions. Precise data on those affected in the Alvia were not entered into the system until the Guardia Civil arrived, 43 minutes after the accident. The association warns that this "lack of coordination and immediate assistance" could have allegedly led to "more victims, more injured, and more severe injuries."
In response to what they consider an "abnormal function of the Public Administration," the victims have formalized four urgent requests: an immediate review of the 061 and 112 action plan, a detailed report on the incident, a thorough investigation to determine political and legal responsibilities, and the transfer of all actions related to these petitions. Concurrently, the complaint has been filed with the Railway Accident Investigation Commission and the Andalusian Ombudsman, and will be forwarded to Judge Cristina Pastor Recover, who is investigating the accident.
