This initiative has optimized the area's safety and usability conditions, now featuring three newly planted linden trees intended to provide shade and greenery as they grow. The viewpoint is situated near the Nomad Knowledge Center, also enhancing its access and surrounding environment.
“"Our heritage is not solely in architecture or our streets; it also lies in the surrounding landscape. With this new viewpoint, we are reclaiming a space for the town from which to admire the Poqueira Gorge and Sierra Nevada."
The project was executed through the MUNITUR aid line, funded by the Junta de Andalucía and designated for municipalities holding the Andalusian Tourist Municipality status. Pampaneira was able to access these funds thanks to the council's efforts in obtaining and maintaining this accreditation.
Mayor Pérez further stated that the aim is for the effort invested in maintaining the Tourist Municipality status to translate into tangible improvements for Pampaneira, such as this new space, thereby enabling the continued preservation of heritage, landscape, and public areas.
With the inauguration of this viewpoint, the council reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the value of Pampaneira's landscape and public spaces, enriching the town for both its inhabitants and visitors.
