The project, part of the Provincial Sports Facilities Plan, includes a major contribution of 150,000 euros from the provincial institution, with the local council providing 37,500 euros. The primary goal is to provide the town with more modern, accessible infrastructure tailored to the current needs of its residents.
The work will focus on two strategic locations: the Mancanzuña Municipal Sports Center and the Río Chico Municipal Sports Center. At the former, the football field's irrigation system will be upgraded, changing rooms will be renovated, and a new calisthenics circuit will be installed to promote outdoor physical activity.
Meanwhile, at the Río Chico Municipal Sports Center, improvements will include climate control and ventilation for the pavilion, the construction of a roof for the paddle tennis court, the creation of a climbing wall, and the installation of a health park. These interventions aim to improve the quality of life for residents, promote healthy habits, and retain the local population by expanding active leisure offerings.
“"Our goal is to ensure that residents have modern, accessible facilities adapted to current needs for sports practice."
