This initiative, held every Tuesday throughout July and August, combined leisure, community, and social commitment, with the participation of residents and attendees. The events took place in San Roque during July and moved to the Lanjarón Active Participation Center in August, culminating on August 25th with the symbolic handover of the funds raised.
A representative from AGRAELA explained during the closing ceremony that the collected funds will be used to finance home physiotherapy sessions for individuals affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This service is crucial for patients and is not currently covered by Social Security.
The association's representative also took the opportunity to detail the work carried out by AGRAELA and express gratitude to all participants and collaborators of this solidarity initiative.
The Lanjarón City Council has highlighted the involvement of residents, collaborators, and municipal staff in the success of these events, which once again have transformed a recreational activity into direct support for those most in need. The Solidarity Games are thus consolidating themselves as one of the municipality's summer events that unite community and solidarity.
