The Alpujarra municipality of Paterna del Río is preparing to host the 'Castaña Rock' festival this Saturday, August 15th. The event, starting at 10:30 PM, will take place in a natural setting surrounded by ancient chestnut trees, offering a cool alternative to the coast.
The bands 'Los Lagartos' and 'La Huella' will provide the entertainment with a repertoire of pop-rock hits. The music will fill the town center, creating a festive outdoor atmosphere under the starry sky.
The festival has a charitable component: a benefit bar will raise funds to be entirely dedicated to the restoration work of the local church, an important building for the town's inhabitants.
Admission to the event is free. The City Council has designated the Ermita esplanade as a parking area to facilitate access for attendees.
